Deborah Lee ( Strickling) Hatt passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023.

Debbie was born January 8, 1952, to Aaron and Joyce (Brasher) Strickling in Joplin Missouri.

Debbie met Fred in 1989 through a dating show on a local radio station. And in her words " The rest is history". Debbie and Fred were married on December 9, 1989, in Olathe, Kansas.

Debbie loved taking care of her family,  sitting outside on her porch, planting flowers, and her fur babies (Dotty, Max, Boggie, and Simba).

Debbie and Fred would travel to Cushman meets all over. Debbie even had her own Cushman motorcycle at one time. They made great friends and looked forward to the annual meets.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Fred. Her son, Chris (Melody) Satterfield and bonus daughter Candy (Troy) Strauss. Siblings; Sharon (Marie) Young, Randy (Connie) Strickling, Teresa (Terry) Hargiss. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Debbie is preceded in death by her brother Doug Strickling.

Debbie never met a stranger and loved to chit-chat.

Her family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Kansas University Medical Center, for all the care and compassion they provided.

There will be a service at Leavenworth National Cemetery on December 5, 2023, at 2:30 pm.
