Obituary

David Edward Rosinski, 51, of Olathe, passed away at home December 26, 2012 surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a 5 year battle with cancer. David was born in Palo Alto, California on August 5, 1961 and raised in Cupertino, California. He was a career sales manager in the tile & granite industry. Dave married Mary Lynn Edmonds in June 1990 and they lived in the San FranciscoBay area for six years. In 1996, Dave and Mary moved to Las Vegas where Mia and Renee were born. In 2004, Dave moved his family from Las Vegas to Olathe so Mary and the girls would be closer to family. Dave began supporting himself when he was 17 years old. His reputation for hard work and expertise was well known in the tile industry. As a devoted husband and father, he worked hard to provide for Mary, Mia and Renee. Dave took every opportunity to be involved in his daughters activities especially their soccer games and band performances. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and rarely missed the weekly poker nights. Dave played, coached, and refereed ice hockey for most of his life. He often trained and mentored new referees. He especially looked forward to the yearly Dave-a-Palooza weekends with his childhood friends since being diagnosed. David fought a courageous battle with cancer the last 5 years. Throughout the entire process, he maintained a positive attitude of hope and didn't allow himself or others to feel sorry for him. During his illness he was treated by outstanding doctors and nurses at the Kansas CityCancerCenter and was cared for in his final 6 months by Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
