On December 30, 2023, Daniel Joseph Waszak ended his journey in our world and passedon to his eternal resting place in heaven at the age of 58, 1 day short of his 59th birthday.

Daniel was born on December 31, 1964, in Herrin, Illinois to Richard and Maryanne Waszak. Daniel attended Heartland Community Church and had a strong belief in Jesus as eternal Lord and Savior. Daniel was an avid hunter, loved sports, specifically softball where he was an overall great pitcher. He loved camping with friends, exploring the woods and just spending time with his friends on a weekend evening. If you were fortunate enough to be loved by Daniel, he gave his all and would do anything for you.

Daniel was the life of the party, always laughing and finding a way to make those in theroom laugh with him.

One of his favorite food items was Chocolate Milk and he would find a way to ensure he always had enough on hand.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Richard Waszak and Maryanne Waszak. He is survived by his daughter Mikayla LeeAnn Vernon, Theresa Waszak Bolin, sister, Michael Waszak, brother, John Waszak brother, Tracy Mazuer, sister-in-law, and Beverly Krushat former spouse. Daniel had one niece and four nephews and 19 great-nephews/nieces. He also was survived by his best friends Nate Eggleston and Kristina Eggleston.

Daniel's family is thankful for the laughs and joy that Daniel brought to their lives and will hold on to his memory with the same joy that he shared so abundantly.

Daniel loved his family as a son, brother, dad, uncle, and friend.

A cremation will take place presently with a burial to be scheduled in late April 2024.In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to: Please mark in remembrance of Daniel Joseph Waszak.
