Obituary

Craig Kenneth Silvey Jr., age 37, passed away suddenly on January 17, 2026, in Kansas. He was born on August 15, 1988, in California.

Above all else, Craig wanted to be a husband and a father. His greatest wish in life was to have a family of his own, a dream that was fulfilled when his son, Hudson, was born in April 2024. Hudson was the center of Craig’s world and his greatest source of pride. Becoming a father was central to Craig’s life, bringing purpose, joy, and a profound love that shaped how he saw the world and those around him.

Craig was deeply devoted to his family and valued close relationships above all else. He was known for his compassion, his protective nature, his sense of humor, and his ability to make those around him feel loved and supported. He loved fiercely, cared deeply, and showed up for the people who mattered to him in meaningful ways.

Craig had a lifelong passion for the Green Bay Packers and proudly cheered them on with unwavering loyalty, a passion and tradition he looked forward to sharing with his son. He enjoyed playing basketball, listening to country music, grilling, and unwinding with a good movie.

Craig is survived by his wife, Jessica Silvey; his beloved son, Hudson Silvey; his mother, YvetteBall; his father, Craig Silvey Sr.; his sister, Mika Silvey; his sister, Lorissa Ball-Krizka; his brothers, Jason Ball and Kevin Ball; his stepbrother, Joey Baker; his stepsister, Brittany Baker; and his stepmother, Peggy Baker.

He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Alexis Ugalde, Kylee Nielsen, Kevin Nielsen, Abel Patchen, Memphis Dickerson, Ava Koerner, Morgan Thill, Aiden Annear, Serenity Walcher, Bentley Baker, Grayson Baker, and Jacey Baker; his mother-in-law, Daneille Crawford; and Stephanie and Adam Lynch, whom Craig regarded as a second set of parents. Craig was preceded in death by his sister, Tiffany Ball, and his grandmother, Candice Moser.

Craig’s love lives on in the family he built and the lives he touched.

A private celebration of life is being planned by the immediate family. This will take place Sunday, March 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Fresh Air Baby Camp located in Oak Park - 1221 W 11th St N, Wichita, KS 67203. Please contact Jessica Silvey to RSVP.
