Our beloved Christopher John Martinecz, 52, passed Friday, February 23rd, 2024 in his home in Mound City, KS. He was born September 3, 1971 in Lae Morobe Province, Papa New Guinea to Heinz Georg Martinecz and Louise Anne Wilson, née Worstencroft. On May 3rd, 2009 Chris married Melissa Dawn Trinkler in Mound City, KS. In 2013, their daughter, Savannah Dawn Jennifer was born.Chris followed his heart and found his true love and life's purpose as a devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with family and friends. He especially cherished his time with his wife and daughter who were his world. He enjoyed good conversations, laughing, reading, food, photography, films, poetry, sports, nature, animals, sunsets, beaches, the night sky, relaxing at home, and just simply living on the peaceful 100 acres of land he and his 2 girls call home.Chris was preceded in death by his father, Heinz Georg. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Dawn; daughter, Savannah Dawn Jennifer; mother, Louise Anne; sister, Michelle Jacqueline; half sister, Simone Joy; stepmother, Christine; stepsisters, Shannon Marie, Michelle Lee; stepfather, Graeme; stepbrother, Craig; and many other family members and loved ones.Chris, you are loved fiercely forever and beyond in our hearts. We honour and celebrate your life lived large across the globe. You are simply the best human, fearless and fun, loving and caring. You are a genuine spirit who shared positive energy with everyone you ever met and are gone too soon. You will forever be deeply missed. Till we see you again, we raise our glasses high and picture you now with your dad.
A come and go Celebration of Life will be held on March 5th from 2-4pm @ The Shalom Retreat Center (Chapel), 12985 Co Rd 1095, Mound City, KS.
