Christina Jane Wright, 52, of Lawrence, Kansas passed away February 13, 2018 at the home of her beloved sister. Christina was born on January 3, 1966 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late Bernal "Bernie" and Anne (Mason) Piper. She grew up in Paola, KS and has most recently been living in Lawrence and Williamsburg, KS. The center of Christina's life was the companionship and laughter of family and friends. Ms. Wright also enjoyed spending time with her pet cat, Callie. From a young age, Christina was the protector of her younger siblings, always looking out for them. She will be remembered for her kind heart and, despite she was small, her huge hugs around your neck. Christina is survived by daughter, Lisa (Trevor) Stevens; son, Brandon Thompson; four sisters, Tammy (William) Brown, Lorie (John) Abbott, Mary Beth Retke, and brother, Randal McKay. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, seven nieces, five nephews, and several great nieces and nephews whom she adored. Ms. Wright was proceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry Callahan. A private celebration of life service will be held for her family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Olathe Hospice House, Midland Care Connection, or your local animal rescue.
