Cathy Vinzant, 59, passed away into the arms of our Lord and Savior in the early morning of February 19, 2017. Cathy was born Mary 27, 1957 to David and Mayre Lou Lindquist at St. Mary's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Cathy was one of five children and grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. She attended Santa Fe Trail, Milburn Jr. High and graduated from Shawnee Mission North in 1975. Cathy married Bruce Carl Fritz in 1976 and together had two children, Sarah Ann and Daniel Carl. She later married Gary Christopher Vinzant and they have been married for 22 years. She was a proud grandma of Anna, Felicity, Bella, Zach and Bentlee. Cathy was preceded in death by both her parents, brother-in-law John Dods and sister-in-law, Dixie Lindquist. Cathy will be forever missed by her husband, Chris, her children whom will miss her so much, Sarah and Danny, her siblings, JoAnne Dods, Steve Lindquist, Debbie and James Crow and Lori and Darren Huhs. She also leaves behind childhood neighbors and sisters Nancy and Paula Woolworth, as well many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many, many friends. We will all miss her vibrancy and tenacity as she would light up a room when she walked in. Cathy is now singing with the angels and reunited with her loved ones. There will be an emptiness felt for those she left behind for we all loved her. There will be a Celebration of Life for Cathy on May 13, 2017.
