Overland Park, KS – Carl grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He loved his family and friends, airplanes, fast cars, bonfires, and telling stories.

Carl is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters, Ann Montgomery, Ellen Parker, and Karen Montgomery; grandchildren, Shelby Kissell, Hazel Parker, and Roslyn Parker; brothers, Phillip Montgomery, Dennis Montgomery, Royce Montgomery, Rick Montgomery, and Joe Montgomery.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Joseph "Bud" Montgomery and his sisters, Mary Ann Higgins, and Paula Cremers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests honorary donations to Women in Aviation International, Huntington's Disease Society of America, or the American Heart Association.
