Obituary

Bob Pullen of Olathe Kansas went to join his wife, Mary, of 54 years in heaven on December 28, 2021. He was born in 1939 in Russellville, Arkansas to Ralph Pullen and Inez Shue. Bob and Mary moved to Joplin, Missouri early in their marriage where they lived until retirement. He was a salesman for Kraft Foods and American Greetings, in the Army National Guard for 22 years, and eventually went to work at Camp Crowder (MO) until he retired. He was on the City Council in Joplin from 1986-1998. Bob never met a stranger. He always greeted everyone with a smile. He was humble, kind, hardworking, incredibly funny and a devoted husband and daddy. Even with all the hardships, he faced with ALS, he courageously welcomed every day with strength and humor. Bob and Mary moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas to retire where they enjoyed many years of friends, golfing, lots of trips and were founding members of Mountainside Methodist Church. Bob moved to Olathe in April 2021 and met some of the best buddies and kindest people at Cedar Lake Village. He enjoyed every moment with all his special friends there. In honor of our daddy, we offer you this: Be humble, be kind no matter what obstacles you are facing. A smile to a stranger or a friend really makes a difference. As many would attest, it was a true gift to have known Bob. Bob is survived by his daughters Teresa Siebert of Jenks, Ok, Cherie Zeka, and son-in-law Sam Zeka of Gardner KS. His granddaughters Madison Johnson of Broken Arrow, Ok, and Chloe Zeka of Gardner, KS. He is also survived by a brother Mickey Pullen of Lakeland, Ga. Memorial Contributions In lieu of flowers, his daughters request contributions be made, in Bob's name, to ALS Association Mid- America Chapter: 6405 Metcalf, Suite 205, Overland Park, KS 66202, (913) 648-2062 x 206. https://www. alsa-midamerica. org
