Betty Bowden Kilpatrick, 90 years old, died at Villa St. Francis Assisted Living in Olathe, Kansas on Thursday, September 10, 2015 after a recent stroke. Born January 18, 1925 in New London, Arkansas, she grew up in nearby Russellville until she married Roy William "Bill" Kilpatrick Jr. an moved to Pella, Iowa where together they raised their four sons. Betty lived most of her adult life in Pella, Iowa as a homemaker and owner/manager of "The Gallery" gift and antique shop in historic downtown Pella. She raised her sons with humor and discipline as her priority. She lived in the Johnson County Kansas area for the past decade. Betty is survived by her four sons, Scott (Linda) of De Soto, KS, Steve (Karen) of Salem, OR, Sean (Annie) of Lake Oswego, OR and Stanton of Boston, MA. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Brad Kilpatrick, Bridget Kilpatrick Brewer, Jamie Kilpatrick Corliss, Meegahn Kilpatrick McDonald and Brandon Kilpatrick, and eight great-grandchildren.
