Betty Edlin was born September 16, 1929 in Windom, Minnesota to John and Bertha Mahoney. She passed away at her home in Kansas City, Kansas on May 13, 2011. She is survived by her children; Berney R. Edlin, Rebecca J. Sutton, Herman D. Edlin, Herschel A. Edlin, and Joyce B. Edlin all of the greater Kansas City area. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Shirley Burkhardt, Kearney, MO and three brothers, John Mahoney, Prescott, KS, Donald Mahoney, Springhill, KS and David Mahoney, Kansas City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Edlin in 1988, her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Betty Jane lived at her home in Kansas City, Kansas since 1956. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 am, Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
