Barbara L Shafer, 87, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away April 6, 2017 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Barbara retired from Security Bank where she worked for several years. Previous to that, she and her husband owned and operated a floral shop in Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don and is survived by two daughters, Jan Shafer and Carol Brewer. At the request of the family there will be no formal services. Barbara will be interred at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
