Our loving mother, wife and grandmother went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2014. Barbara Kay was born December 20, 1944 to Champ Jewell Butler and Evelyn Mae Dannels. Barbara Kay worked at KCTV 5 for over 25 years where she enjoyed playing Halloween jokes on everyone at the station. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a husband Lester Mansell, a son Scott (wife Tammy) two grandchildren Sean Shaver (wife Adrienne) and Kristie Shaver. A celebration of her life will be held from 4 - 6 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the American Legion on 75th Street in Overland Park, KS.
