Barbara Lynn Jarvis died on November 17, 2024, at KU Med Center in Kansas City, Mo following 4 surgeries including hip replacement. She passed with her beloved partner, Stuart Dunn at her side.

Barbara was born in Tulsa, OK on July 12, 1952 and was adopted two weeks later by Richard and Jane Jarvis and taken home to Winfield, KS. She graduated from Winfield High in 1970.  She attended KU and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Barbara had many varied careers over the years and loved them all.  At one time she was on the Board of Cornerbank. The last was of a restaurant and bar owner in Arkansas.  Barbara was an always an animal lover and had many cats and dogs and a horse when she was in high school. Survivors include her partner Stuart Dunn of Kansas City, Missouri, sister, Sarah Grace Parlak (aka Roberta Jarvis Johnston) and her husband Ugur Parlak of Overland Park, KS, neice Shannon George and her husband, Patrick George, and their children, Addelyn Jane, Peyton and Eli George of Raymore, MO, nephew Alex Johnston and wife Stacey of Emporia, KS and many cousins. Cremation was handled by the Cremation Center of Kansas City.
