Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara JoAnn Given (Cotter), was born May 1, 1934 only daughter of Ivyal and Eva Cotter. Passed at 11 pm on January 19, 2017 at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home in Belton, Missouri. While saddened by her loss her family is comforted with the knowledge that in heaven she is no longer suffering and can once again remember her life and family with fondness. JoAnn, as she was called in life, is survived by her husband of six years, Bill Given. They met playing bridge, a game they both loved. Also survived by her daughter Rhonda (Chris) Williamson, Kansas City, MO, son Art (Diane) Peasley, Overland Park, KS. Step-Children Russell (Patricia) Given, Linda (Mark) Rodgers, Joshua and Arthur Given. Her Grandchildren- Robert (Holly) Barclay, Michael P. Barclay, Sue Barclay, Mary Jo (Roy) Burger, Alex P. Peasley, Amber (Alejandro) Peasley, Madeleine (Ken) Lewis, Ashley (John) Tezon - and 17 great grandchildren. Memorial service were held Saturday January 19, 2017 in Overland Park, KS. She will be buried at Sunset Memory Gardens in Atchison, KS with her parents at a future time.
