Anna Helena Fitzgerald, 84, left us June 9, 2014 in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Her home in Independence, Missouri was preceded with homes in Arizona, Texas, New Jersey and New York. A Mass will be held in her honor June 30, 11 AM at St. Mark's RC Church, Independence, Missouri. Inurnment, 1:30 PM at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Kansas. Anna was born June 25, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Maspeth, Queens, NY, daughter of Adalbert Kutasz and Leokady Kalinowska Kutasz. She met her husband, Arthur David Fitzgerald, while working at Caltex Petroleum Corporation, in Manhattan, New York, NY, and married in 1957, at St. Adalbert's RC Church in Elmhurst, Queens, NY. While raising her three boys and daughter in Edison, New Jersey, she was active in Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts and Woodside Swim Club, and traveled with her family and friends, camping throughout the eastern US and Canada. Later on, continuing her travels throughout the continental US, Alaska and Europe, and becoming an accomplished artist with her oil paintings. She was preceded in death by her brother, Waclaw, parents and husband. Anna is survived by her sons, Arthur and his wife Joye, Holden, Missouri, Brendan, Independence, Missouri and Robert and daughter Coleen and her husband Kevin Knox, Watauga, Texas, and six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
