Alfred W. Saunders, Jr. , 85, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away February 15, 2013 at Village Hospice Care Center. He was born April 4, 1927 in Auburn Heights, Michigan, son of Alfred and Helen Saunders. He is survived by his daughter, Susie Saunders of Blue Springs, Missouri sons Mark and Michael Saunders, grandchildren Jennifer Conner, Nathan Cornell, Ryan Saunders, Stephanie Johnson, Matthew Saunders and Mitchell Saunders and four great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Lauren, Blake and Ashlyn. Al was a life long bowler, entering the Georgia Bowling Hall of Fame which he would say was his greatest achievement. He was a Mason and an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many hours at Lake Altoona on his pontoon. Memorial Services will be held at 4 pm, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the St. Phillips United Methodist Church, 2400 Favor Road in Marietta, Georgia. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 3 pm.
