Agatha Josephine Steen of Chillicothe, MO, died May 18, 2020, at Saint Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO. She was born in Chillicothe, MO on May 6, 1948. Her parents Lee and Opal Steen brought her home to the family farm. Aggie studied Music and HomeEc and then found her long time career, nursing. Aggie, known as "Samm" during her career spent her years as an RN at Menorah Medical Center and the second half of her career as a Nurse Practitioner at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She spent her free time at the family farm. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, reading, and quilting. She is survived by her children, Andrea Jonson of Kansas City, MO and Cameron Jonson of Topeka, KS; three grandchildren, Tori (Andrea); Braxton (Cam); Julian (Cam) and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Gary Weir of Independence, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; birthmother, Lelia Cooper; and brother, Tim Steen.
