Mary Kathryn Hall

Hall, Mary

Mary Kathryn Hall was born March 30, 1932 on a farm in Redfield, Kansas to Earl and Mary Roland. Mary, who liked to be called Kay, had two older sisters, Pauline Roland McCord and Earldean Roland Swanson who have preceded her in death.

Kay like to roller skate and that is where she met her future husband Lewgene Hall, they married on March 8, 1949 in Vernon County, Missouri. Mary and Lewgene had five children; Bob, Norman, Vicki, Sheila and Brenda. Kay worked at the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant as a Press Operator and later worked at Kohls. Kay loved lighthouses. It is thought that this may come from living on the coast in California where Lewgene who was stationed in the Navy.

Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, husband Lewgene and daughter Vicki Ann Lammert. She is survived by son Bob (wife Pam) of Olathe, Kansas; son Norman (wife Cheryl) of Olathe; daughter Sheila (Barry) Lammert of Ellsbury, Missouri and daughter Brenda (Ron) Smitha of Paola, Kansas. 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at Community Bible Church 1304 N. Parker, Olathe, Kansas at 11:00am on July 22, 2017. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Delmar Gardens Lenexa and Olathe Hospice for their care and support for Mary Kay. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to Olathe Hospice or Community Bible Church.
