I worked with Mary Jo as a Diet Tech in the late 80’s and early 90″s at KU Med. She is about the only one that did not laugh in my face at my Texas accent when I moved here. Mary Jo was a truly special lady. She and Tom invited me into their home and made me most welcome. We shared lots of laughs and a few tears through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I worked with Mary Jo for many years at KU Medical Center in the early ’80s and the ’90s. Mary Jo was always a friendly and helpful co-worker to me and others – always ready to lend a hand if someone was overworked. She visited me when I was in the hospital and always had something friendly and hopeful to say. I only have good memories of Mary Jo and she will remain in my prayers. I can also add that she loved her family very much and was always ready to talk about each and every one of them..
