A Memorial Service will be held for her at Bishop Spencer Place, Monday, May 12, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Bishop Spencer Place, 4301 Madison Avenue, Kansas City, MO, 64111, or The Benson Neighborhood Association, PO Box 4134, Omaha, NE, 68104.

Barb and Shirley, I was saddened to her of your mother’s passing. She was always such a kind lady – I have fond memories of her on 116th Avenue. I know she was also a good friend to my parents. My thoughts are with you….

    Dear Barb and Shirley,
How very saddened we were to learn of the loss of our dear Marj. We have missed this special friend since her move to KC, and have lovely memories of our times together here in Omaha. We are sorry that we are unable to join you and your families tomorrow in Omaha, but hold you both close to our heart and in our prayers. Your mother was so proud and blessed by her daughters and their loving care of her, and you both were equally blessed having her as your wonderful mother! May those cherished memories help to comfort you. Sending you our love and sincere sympathy.
    Vicki and John
