Linda Kay Wilson


Linda Kay Wilson, 74, of Belton, Missouri, died December 22, 2014 at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home, under the care of Grace Hospice.

She was born August 16, 1940 in Denison, Texas, daughter of Lewis and Lillian Hosford Beckelman.

Linda graduated from Denison High School and Denison Business College. She married John L. Wilson on June 6, 1959 and later divorced after 21 years of marriage. She worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue, beginning in 1980. She was a member of the Countryside Methodist Church.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Foster and is survived by two daughters, Krista Rutledge of Belton, Missouri and Lisa Kaspar of Topeka, Kansas, four grandchildren, Alyssa and Alec Kaspar and David and Ashley Holthaus her brother, Buzz Beckelman of Denison, Texas and her sister, Elizabeth Foster of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A service will be held in Denison, Texas.

    Lynda and I were close friends through high school, and I was a member of her wedding party. She lived across the street from me in Denison, Texas. I have many fond memories of our times together. She was a dear person.
