LaVerne Luebs

LaVerne Luebs, 87, of Shawnee Kansas, passed away January 11, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House.LaVerne was born in Chicago Illinois in 1924.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her parents, Charles and Helen Shumaker; and her brother Bud.  She is survived by her daughter Janine and her sons Brad, Kevin and Scott; 5 grandchildren (Julia, Melanie, Christopher, Michael and Kelly); cousins; and friends who were also her family.

LaVerne will be remembered for her fighting spirit and quick wit.  She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the angels at the Kansas City Hospice House who comforted LaVerne in her final days.

    Sadly our family is getting smaller and smaller. LaVerne, you shall be misse, we just wish you had lived closer to us, so we could have visited more often. LaVerne, your pain is over now, Thank God, and you can be at peace. You are now with many people you loved and they with you. God Bless you.

    LaVerne..I will miss you and all the wonderful times we shared. Las Vegas will not be the same without you to share the shows, dinners and local sightseeing trips.
