Kenneth Alden Shemark


Ken Shemark, 69, of Lenexa, Kansas, died February 14, 2011 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa under the care of Odyssey Hospice.

He was born March 20, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Paseo High School. He attended one year at Kansas City University (UMKC). Ken served in the US Army for two years. He married Gerre Lee Patterson in 1963. Ken was employed by Southland Corporation for 10 years as a District Manager, then became a co-owner of Chuck Wagon Grocery Store in Kansas City, Kansas.

Ken is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Kit and Claudette Patterson.

There will be a memorial service at Lindsborg, Kansas.
