Kathleen L. Kurtz

 She was born in Trenton, Missouri July 21, 1925 and lived there until she married Richard Kurtz in 1944.

After Richard finished military service, they settled in Salt Lake City, Utah until 1963, when they moved

to Kansas City and went into the apartment hotel business.  Kay moved to Lakeview Village, Lenexa,

Kansas after Richard’s death in 2001.

 

Kay was very active in her life at Lakeview, working in the What-Not-Shop, gardening, decorating and

being involved in many bridge groups.  She was totally devoted to her husband and children and created

lives that will forever reflect her love and values.

 

One of her friends wrote:  When we think of flowers, we think of you. When we think of smiles, we

think of you. When we think of beautiful decorations to brighten our holiday spirits, we think of you.

When we think of inner and outer beauty, we easily think of you.

 

Kay leaves her daughters, Linda Matchette (Jack), Karen Hannah (Bob), and grandchildren, Kayleigh,

Mark, Sarah, Keaton, Justin and Jena.

 

She will be forever missed by her family and many friends.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
