I too am a former co-worker of Jon’s. I only recently heard of his passing. Jon was always so enthusiastic about everything at the Schlagle Library, and made it a fun place to visit for staff and patrons alike. He will be missed.
I am so sad to hear of Jon’s passing. He and I had been close friends when I lived in Kansas City. He was a wonderful man, and he could not meet a person without leaving an impact on them. His smile was contagious, and his love was overwhelming. How brightly his light shined while he was here with us. Your family will be in my prayers.
So sorry for your loss, Dave and family. He sounds like a very nice person, though we’ve never met. My deepest condolences to you.
I knew Jon through the environmental education organization KACEE. He was dedicated to his work at the library and to teach kids (and adults) about nature. His ideas for programs were wonderful. I am sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to his family and friends.
Jon was an amazing, creative, sweet guy. I am so, so sorry to hear about his passing. I consider myself very lucky to have known him for the time I did.
I just got word this AM of Jon’s passing, and I’m truly saddened by this news. I have shared many good discussions about nature with Jon over the few years I knew him. He was a talented and caring person, and my thoughts echo those posted by others.
When I last saw him in June, he implied that he had a medical problem, though I got the impression it was under control.
My sincere condolences to Jon’s family. Peace and good memories, and prayers.
I was so sad to hear this. Jon was a great guy, and I’m glad I got to know him a little through the library.
