John Patrick Stamp

John Patrick Stamp, 71, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away June 5, 2013.
He was born April 14, 1942 in St. Joseph, son of Charles and Nora Stamp. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and also from Missouri Western College with a degree in business. John served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor for more than 30 years.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth, his sister Mary White and brother Charles Stamp, Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Tara (Josh) Leighr, Liberty, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Gentiva Hospice, 8735 Rosehill Road, Lenexa, KS 66215.

Tara- your father was a nice and gentle man. It is easy for anyone to see how much he loves you and your children. You were always the joy in his life since I met you guys in the 70’s. Hang in there. My arms go out to you. Hugs,

Tara, I am sorry for your loss. I Remember days of you and your dad in the backyard playing. He loved you lots.
Our sympathy to Tara and her family. Bob has known family since the late 1930s (started St. Francis and graduated from CB with Chick) and has good memories of Pat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We last saw him at a benefit car wash he was helping run for one of Tara’s sports teams.
Sorry to hear of your father’s passing. Pat and my mom were first cousins. Many of days were spent at Charlie’s and Nora’s as I was growing up. One of my best friends owns the house now.

Im sorry to here the news about Pat. I worked with Pat for years on the CNW back in the 70 & 80s. Irealy thought alot of Pat enjoyed working with him. My prayers go out to the family.
