Fair winds and following seas shipmate. Hug Lori extra tight for me. Love and miss you both.
John took me under his wing in Coronado. He truly was larger than life

I am so sorry for your loss. John and I went through BUD/S together and crossed paths a few times over our Navy careers. John was a solid operator and teammate. I just found out about his passing and wanted to send my belated condolences to the family. John was an American Patriot and Veteran – may he rest in peace…
Very Respectfully
CDR Dan O’Shea

Very sorry to hear about John. We worked closely together in the military He will be greatly missed
I was stationed with John at SDVT-1 in Hawaii. He was a great guy and good friend. We had a lot of good times and memories with the team at his house. He truly made an impression on this world and the people who knew him.
Marty Burbank sent me the news. I am sorry to hear about John’s passsing. We served together in the Navy and I remember him as excellant operator and a good teammate. My prayers are with you and your family.
My deepest condolences,
Scott Borgmann
I just Googled John’s name to try and catch up and see what he was doing. We served in the Navy together in San Diego and in Hawaii. Although we had our arguments I considered John one of my closest friends. I am so sorry for your loss, and so sorry I had lost contact with John. I have tried to locate him a couple of times, but have not talked to him since he left the Navy. John was not only an excellent SEAL, he was very fun to hang out with. If there is anything i can ever do for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Respectfully,
Marty Burbank

Julie,
I am very saddened to find out about John’s passing. I thought very highly of your son and often spoke about him to family and friends as such a unique and talented person. I met John in Florida in Pompano Beach.
You may remember me. I helped him move his things up to your place in Vero Beach. I am so happy to have known John.
I am just so sorry to hear this.

Julie,
We met 10 years ago when I dated John in Pompano Beach. I’m so sorry to hear of both the loss of him and your husband. John was a wonderful man and I’m forever grateful I got the chance to know him. I had tried to find him for years. Please contact me, I have pictures you may like to have and believe it or not, I live 30 minutes from Olathe. Again, I’m soooooo sorry and sad to hear this news. I heard the news of the loss of the navy seals the other day and wondered what had ever happened to him, so I performed a search and unexpectedly came across his obituary. I have so much to tell you…

Julie,
You know my heart breaks for you, as I know how close you and John were. I will forever cherish my dance with John when you lived here in Minnesota. When the of us three went out together. I will remain his Lauren Bacall forever.
Much love to you and the girls,
Joann
I am a neighbor of John’s. He will be sorely missed in the neighborhood. He was always willing to lend a hand and have some funny conversations.
Our prayers are with the family.
I met John, unfortunately, at his father’s funeral. At the luncheon that followed, when he figured out how we were cousins, the celebration of life was on! I only knew John in person three days of his brief life, but he’s the closest male kin I’ve ever had on that side of the family. He was bigger than life, kind, gentle, strong and directed. I was in awe of him. God’s speed, John…
I love and miss John every second of every day!! He was a WONDERFUL man with a heart BIGGER than anyone I’ve ever known! Until we meet again …
