    Dear Sue,

Thank you for sending me a note about your aunt Joanne. I knew she was very bright and also to learn that she was phi beta kappa. Joanne, Sue Gellman and I would discuss famous writers. I know that Sue and I ran over to Harvard U. and audit a course on James Joyce. I wish she had written that novel. I don’t know if she told you that her first marriage dissolved because open marriage was the vogue and also women’s lib was on the rise and women were shedding their husbands. I feel very sad about Joanne’s passing and your great loss.

We were very sorry to hear that Joanne had passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you release your loved one to God in Heaven. We hope that time and good memories will bring you comfort. She was a smart lady
with a good sense of humor. I(Jackie)
am related to Joanne by way of Rex & Blanche Copp. I was able to have lunch with her when she moved back to the KC area. Dr. “Jim” was my doctor and my
husband’s. She amazed me with all of her
talents. We were fellow “cat lovers”!
We wish you all peace in your hearts.
Our Love to all of the family.

PS-If any of the family still knows who
I am,I would be glad to hear from them.
