Jerry Wayne Waddell, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Waddell, Sr., 68, of Gladstone, Missouri passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Goldie Waddell, and his stepson, Michael R. Hansel.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judith Brooks Waddell; his daughter Katherine Rogers (Matthew); son Jerry W. Waddell, Jr. (Jeff); stepdaughter Linda van Thullenar (Ted); and stepson Barry Hansel Jr (Lynn); his grandchildren Wanda, Amber, Aracelli, Mariana, Juan, Carlos, Jordan, Mari, Gabriella, Talia, Erica, and Logan; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Ava, Cain, Kailee, Adelynn, Isabella, Memphis, and Mylamae. He is also survived by his siblings Gene Waddell, Betty Hernandez & Judy Waddell.
Jerry was a sheet metal fabricator who worked for many years at Hobart Manufacturing in Kansas City, Kansas. After a move to Houston, Texas, he worked at Northrop Grumman and Compaq Computer. He was known for being a shade-tree mechanic even rebuilding the engine on a Camaro he bought in Texas. Jerry was also known for tackling home remodeling projects, including rebuilding decks and remodeling bathrooms. If he didn’t know how to build it or how to fix it he was always able to figure it out. Jerry also loved music, especially Elvis, and collecting Three Stooges memorabilia.
Service
A celebration of life in Jerry’s memory will be held at a later date.
