Jerry Lee Owens, age 78 of Kansas City, KS died peacefully with family by his side on Friday evening, September 24, 2021.  This was after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Opal and Paul Owens.  He leaves behind his loving wife, Lois Owens, 4 daughters, Linda Owens-Turner(husband Ken), Kathy Owens-Walker, Terri Owens, Crystal Owens-Schuler, 1 son, Jerry Owens, Jr, 8 Grandchildren, Zac(wife Kierstin), Harrison, Hayden, Brandon, Morgan, Jourdann, Kara, and Jaxson, 2 Great Grandchildren, Avianna and Brixlee, 2 sisters, Patsy and Pam, 1  brother, Kenneth.

Jerry joined the US Air Force at age 17 straight out of high school and served 2 years.  After being employed for several years at General Motors, he then realized his love for American-made cars.  He became a self-taught expert mechanic, and he could transform any car into a work of art through his bodywork.  He was a perfectionist with everything he did.  Jerry never called a “repairman”  because he was a fixer of all things.  He loved his country and rock n’ roll music and had dance moves like no other!  He loved to make people laugh and had a multitude of one-liners and jokes to share.  Later in life, Jerry found God and attended Church regularly alongside his wife, Lois.  He was one of a kind.  Jerry will be missed by his many friends and family.
