Janet, I was one of those classmates that Rick McDowell mentioned. His mother and mine were also both French and were best friends in Topeka. Needless to say, Jeff and I were very good friends, too. My thoughts are with you and your family.

  13. Rick McDowell on June 15, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Jeff and many of his classmates from his mother’s French Class of 1974 at Topeka West High School took a 6-month trip to France. It was a blast. I have a 8 mm film from the trip that I need to have converted to digital to preserve it. Footage would have captured Jeff and his mother Madame Curtis. Jeff always sought me out during our class reunions which made me feel special and that our friendship was valued both ways. He will be missed.

    • Janet l Curtis on June 19, 2021 at 12:55 pm

Thank you for your kind words Rick. Would love to see that footage sometime. Janet
