Janice Marie Drummond


Janice Marie Drummond, 72, of Belton, Missouri, went to meet her Lord on February 16, 2012.

She was born November 12, 1939 in Ridell, Kansas, daughter of Elmer and Hazel Clary. Janice retired from the Belton School District after 30 years as a cook. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church in Belton.

She is survived her husband, Floyd Drummond, Sr. of Belton, five children; Hazel Walton, Oak Grove, MO, Floyd Drummond, Jr., Belton, Rebecca Drummond, Rockwall, TX, Judith Cornwell, Harrisonville, MO, and Frank Drummond, Belton, 14 grandchildren, one sister, Hazel Cornell, Missouri.

A Celebration of Janice’s life will be held at 4 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the South Haven Baptist Church, 6800 Belray Boulevard, Belton, Rev. Gary Walton officiating. A visitation will precede the celebration, beginning at 3 pm. A Celebration Dinner will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Janice was also known as “Momma Janice” and “Grandma Janice” by many children and was loved by her family and many friends and will be missed by all.

    Her Celebration of Life service is Saturday February 25 beginning with visitation @ 3 pm, memorial @ 4 pm and a Celebration dinner for every one to follow. At South Haven Baptist Church. Belton, Mo
