This completely breaks my heart. I always looked forward to seeing Gwen at our group workouts with Kory. Although she had 20 years on me, she would always leave me in her dust and it made me work harder.
I’ll always remember her sweet smile, kind heart, saucy attitude and pure determination. If I would have known the last class we had together would have really been the LAST one, I would have hugged her and never let go.
Life will never be the same without her. Sending good thoughts and sweet memories to all of you hurting. She will be missed

Gwen was the first person to take me under her wing nearly 10 years ago during the KC Express Mother’s Day 5k training program. I showed up each week and would hear her encouraging words. Gwen’s welcoming definitely sparked my interest in running and the camaraderie of women supporting women. No doubt she will be missed as a bright light to many others as well.

Gwen was an inspiration to many of us on the weekly Spin! Bike rides. Her positive attitude was infectious and always had a kind word to say to all. She will be missed, we are all better for knowing her. ❤️‍♀️

Gwen had a wonderful life partner to travel the world with. I will miss her caring words and big smile and cherish our many Bible study conversations with our small group. What a comfort to know she truly rests in peace.

I am deeply saddened hearing of Gwen’s passing to such a terrible disease.
At one time, we were good friends, through our husband’s lifelong relationship. We spent many a time together, watching our children play, while sharing coffee and laughing about our daily lives. After they left town we lost touch, but always kept the fondness.
She was a good person and the world is minus another angel.
Peace and strength to Charlie and Andrea during this difficult time.

    Chuck,
We were so sorry to see this in the Buffalo News today. I hope Gwen didn’t suffer and that you all are holding up OK. We think of you often, as we are still in the house on South Ellicott. God bless you all.
