Gregory Alan Bryant

Gregory Alan Bryant, son of the late Dr. TJ Bryant and Rose L. Bryant, died Monday, October 3, 2011 at Truman Medical Center Lakewood. Memorial Services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Wornall and Red Bridge Roads. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the TJ Bryant Medical Education Fund at The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, 1055 Broadway, Suite 130, Kansas City, MO 64105.

Greg was born at Queen of the World Hospital, Kansas City, MO on October 4, 1961. He attended Pem Day, Rockhurst and Mount Herman schools. He majored in Economics at Tufts University and became an advance SAS Computer Operator. Greg worked as a Statistical Clinical Research Analyst around the country as a contractor. His work took him to The Pentagon, Reston, VA, Boston, Houston, Silicon Valley, Amgen, Marion Laboratories and PSA Lenexa.

Greg volunteered for Big Brothers, Habitat for Humanity, Little League Baseball and was instrumental in starting a youth golf tournament. He sang in the Boys Choir at Grace and Holy Cathedral under Mel Grace and St. Peter’s Choir under Dodi Brown where he was an Altar Boy. He loved sports, fishing and wanted the world to be a better place for everyone.

Greg is survived by his mother, Rose Bryant, his brother, Daryl Lloyd Bryant, both of Kansas City, his sister Cynthia Rose Bryant, Chevy Chase, MD and loving relatives and friends.

    I met Greg several years ago when he was a programmer at PRA in Lenexa — he was such a delightful, bright, interesting, and exceptional human being. He was actively interested in what was going on in the KC schools. What a loss for his family, friends,and for the whole world.
