Grace Marie Gipson went home to her Heavenly Father on May 27, 2021 at the age of 90, three weeks after her husband of 71 years, Donald E. Gipson passed. Grace leaves behind three sons, Michael L. Gipson, Donald S. Gipson and John D. Gipson, and daughter Melinda J. Bailey. Grace had many jobs, but most important were mother and grandma. She went to church every Sunday with her four children in tow, earning her the lifetime nickname of Chickadee. She loved refinishing antique furniture and repairing and gold leafing 100 year old picture frames, a lost art she self learned and excelled at. Grace taught all her grandchildren to swim using the sink or swim method yelling kicka kicka all the while. It was important to her that her kids and grandchildren were born again and she led her brother Wayne, to Christ before his death.
Grace leaves behind four children, ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, whom she loved to take for rides around her property on her golf cart.
Preceding her death were two sisters, Estelle Turney and Imogne Gray, and one brother, Wayne Graham.
Ashes of Grace and Donald Gipson will be spread on a family farm outside of Richmond, Kansas.
