David Alan Doty

Scanned Documents
David Alan Doty, 75 years old, was born in Trenton, Missouri on November 10th, 1945 to parents Glenda E Doty (Boriff) and Fred H Doty. He grew up in Trenton, Missouri until the age of 13 when he moved to Kansas City, Missouri and met his wonderful wife of 53 years, Judith Doty (Ake). They were blessed with two children and six grandchildren. David loved the Lord and was very active for 53 years in Evangelistic Center Church as a prominent figure in the community. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and supported them through life events, big or small. He attended as many sporting events for his grandchildren as possible to supplement his t-shirt addiction. He met his wife bowling and continued bowling weekly in various leagues throughout Kansas City since they met. People rarely spoke to David without receiving one of his intensely loving hugs and not so short stories. He always started the day with a cup of coffee in his Quick Trip mug and worship time with the Lord. His obsession with ice cream and cheesecake will be missed at birthdays and holidays.

He was preceded in death by Glenda E Boriff and Fred H Doty.

He is survived by wife Judith Doty (Ake), children Kerry Boydstun (Doty) and Paul Doty, and grandchildren Caroline Doty, Shelby Mata (Austin Macklin), TJ Boydstun, Caleb Boydstun, Nathan Sprofera, and Frederick Sprofera.

Dave was a friend and bowling partner. He was always happy to help others with their bowling even if they were our opponents. I kept reminding him of that but he never listened to me. He will be missed.
