    Letter From Heaven

    To my dearest family,some things I’d like to say.
    But first of all, to let you know that I arrived today.

    I’m writing this from heaven.Where I dwell with God above.
    Here there’s no more tears and sadness;Here is just eternal love.

    Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight.
    Remember that I’m with you,every morning,noon and night.

    That day I had to leave you,when my life on earth was through;
    God picked me up and hugged me and He said,”I welcome you.”

    When you think of my life on earth,and all those loving years;
    Because you are only human,they are bound to bring you tears.

    When you’re walking down the street,and you’ve got me on your mind;
    I’m walking in your footsteps,only half a step behind.

    And when it’s time for you to go…..from that body to be free,
    Remember you’re not going…..you’re coming home to me.

    What a thoughtful man Dale was. When I gave him a small replica of the Carl Edwards #99 car he called and left the nicest thank you on my voice mail. It remains there to this day. When I am down I listen to it and it cheers me up!! He will most certainly be missed.

    May Dale rest in peace now without pain. I was glad I saw him in November. I remember so many events of the 11 years of working with him. He will be missed, but always remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Wish I could be there.

    Joe and I both met Dale over twenty years ago. What a kind, soft spoken, considerate man he was. He always had a smile on his face. I will miss the days I drove by Ted, I’d honk and we’d wave at each other!
    Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.

    I met Dale over 20 years ago thru a mutual friend. I immediately liked him. Dale was always friendly, nice, respectful,gentle in his manner and thoughtful. We played many rounds of poker and golf together. He was indeed a huge race fan and I had the pleasure once of traveling to the Knoxville Nationals with him in Iowa. What a trip that was. Though I have not seen Dale in many a year all my memories of him are of a very kind a nice man that was a pleasure to be around.
