Connie Faye Anderson
Connie Faye Anderson, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully Friday, August 4, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri, after a valiant fight against ovarian cancer.
Connie was born in Butler, Missouri on October 26, 1944. She married Gary Lane Anderson on December 28, 1962 in Borger, Texas. Gary’s career in the US Army let to two long-term postings in Germany, after which they settled in Texas. Connie spent much of her life caring for their three children and also enjoyed a successful career as a medical records supervisor. After her retirement, she and Gary moved to Kansas to be near their grandchildren.
Connie was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Gary, who passed away in 2016. She is survived by her daughter Susan Ross, her sons David and Douglas Anderson. She leaves behind sisters Judi Grierson and Carla Jones as well as brothers Michael Landreth, Donald Lipps, and Tommy Lipps. Connie is also survived by her two granddaughters, Audrey and Grace Anderson. She was predeceased by her parents John Landreth and Ethel Maxine Lipps and her brother Joe.
Connie enjoyed learning about all things English and the Royal family and doted on her and Gary’s pet Yorkshire Terriers over the years. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday August 10th at Lakeland Community Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The American Cancer Society.
