Christopher Scott Lawrence
Christopher Scott Lawrence, 50, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away July 17, 2012 at home. A gathering for family and friends will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Fender Music Foundation.
Scott was born November 15, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to George Manford and Lora Jean Lawrence. He married Kimberly Sue Martin on July 28, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri and they made their home in Raytown. Scott attended Kansas University and Longview Community College and loved to golf with his father and friends and enjoyed playing the guitar. He worked for Safeway, Food Barn and Price Chopper for almost 30 years, and was soon to retire in September 2012. Scott was preceded in death by the love of his life and beloved wife, Kim and his parents. He is survived by his three step-children Amber Welton, Stephanie Martin and Bryan Anderson, by his brother, Stephen Jay Lawrence, two sisters, Theresa Carol Horton and Patricia Diane Strode, one grandchild, Payton Allen Martin, five nieces and nephews, Michael, Theresa, Michelle, Stephanie and Shaun, one aunt, Donna Madison and special, lifelong friends, Pete Tarantino (adopted brother), Lee Martin and Steve Brown.
