Cheryl Lynn Danubio of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully Monday March 14, 2011 at Centerpoint Medical Center with her family and friends by her bedside. She was born July 30, 1960 in Rochester, Minnesota and raised in Rushford, Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music therapy at St. Theresa’s College in Winona, Minnesota and was serving as worship leader for Arise Ministries International. She will always be remembered for her gifted voice and being an exceptional flutist. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Chris and four siblings: Ron Gaskin of Shakopee, Minnesota; Randy (Sue) Gaskin of Bonner Springs, Kansas; Cindy (Dan) Dieterich of Johnsburg, Illinois and Russ (Bernadette) Gaskin of Washington DC, her step-father Jess and loving father-in-law Joe, two nieces, three nephews, one great niece and numerous aunts and uncles. Cheryl was also blessed to have many close sisters and brothers in Christ. Preceded in death by both parents, Tom Gaskin and Sandy Tucker. A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at 6 pm on Friday March 18th at Arise Ministries International, 4845 South Norfleet Road, Independence, Missouri.  In lieu of flowers, support donations may be sent to BankLiberty,ATTN: The Danubio Fund, 4315 South Noland Road, Independence, Missouri 64055.  Please make donations payable to: Chris Danubio.  The family would like to thank all those who have shown their love for Cheryl in so many special ways, both throughout her life and now in death.

    I went to high school with Cheryl and she was one of my best friends. I lost touch with her after she graduated from college. I heard that she had passed away and wanted to send my condolences. Cheryl had had a beautiful voice and a beautiful heart. My God give you comfort during this difficult time.

    Cindy I love you very much I know at this moment your heart is hurting but with the faith of God and love of friends and family each day get a little better. But always remember she was a child of God and she was only on loan to us she alway belong to him and she is back with her father. My love and prayer are with you and you family .
