Brett Eisman

Eisman, Brett

Brett A Eisman, 53, amazing Husband, Dad, Papa and friend died peacefully March 17, 2016 at home surrounded by love. Brett was born in Kansas City, Kansas and grew up in Linwood, Kansas. He was known to most of his friends as Bretto. He graduated from Linwood High School. After graduation he joined the Union Laborers Local 1290 and started working construction. He primarily worked bridge construction during his 35 year career. On March 5, 1983 he married Laura Stidham and they were married 33 years.

Brett was a people person and never met a stranger. It was always interesting to hear the stories he would come home with, whether he had gone to Walmart or on vacation. People seemed to be drawn to him.

He loved to hunt and fish and two of his favorite places were sitting in a tree or in the boat. In the most recent years he also enjoyed traveling to the beaches of Destin, FL with Laura and the kids.

The loss of our beloved Brett has created a void that can never be filled. He will be forever missed.

Brett is survived by his wife Laura, daughter Aimee and husband Joe, son Andy and girlfriend Cassandra, daughter Abby, grandchildren Tessa, Mark and Corbin, sisters Kathy, Pam and Tonia, brother Tom and wife Laurie, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Sally Eisman and his in-laws Tom and Linda Stidham.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held at Tri-County Rod and Gun Club, 18573 Stillwell Rd, Linwood 66052 on Saturday, April 2nd from 1 – 5pm.

Laura and family – I am heartbroken for the loss you are experiencing. Though my time as Brett’s OT in rehab was very short, his passion for life, family and friends was evident through it all. I am praying for comfort during this time, knowing that you will be reunited again.
