Bobbi R. (Lukens) Martin

On October 9, 2021, Bobbi R. (Lukens) Martin died in Overland Park, Kansas of end stage liver failure due to cirrhosis. She was 64.

Bobbi is survived by her 3 children, daughters Carolyn (Martin) Shuff of Iowa, Dorothy Hart of Kansas, and son Jack Hart Jr. of Arizona; her 12 grandchildren, Children of Carolyn Shuff, granddaughters Amanda, Karleigh, Jade, Kodi, Jaden, Esperanza, and grandsons Devon, Tucker, and Jason Jr. Children of Dorothy Hart, granddaughters Delaney, Paisley, and grandson Rhys; her 5 siblings, Sisters Anita (Lukens) Nelson, Nancie (Lukens) Seiberg, Teresa (Lukens) Gorman, and brothers Kurtis and Patrick Lukens. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lucille (Espinosa) Lukens, brothers Richard and Michael Lukens, and son-in-law Jason Shuff Sr.

Bobbi was born on July 20, 1957 in Bitburg, Germany, where her father was stationed while serving the US Air Force. Her mother and 3 older siblings were also residing there in base housing. Her family returned to the States in 1959, to Arvada, Colorado. She attended Arvada Sr. High School through her Junior year and obtained her GED in 1994. 

Bobbi married Robert (Bob) V. Martin in 1975. They were together 13 years before divorcing in 1988. They enjoyed an adventurous decade of camping, fishing, skiing and travelling the mountain states and into Canada in pursuit of the perfect fishing adventure. She loved working with large machinery in the Printing industry, and was a Collator Operator for almost 20 years. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, loved cats, and had spent the last 5 years moving between Iowa and Kansas to reside with her daughters and assist in the care of their families. She will be greatly missed.

No formal services are planned for Bobbi at this time, her family may hold a memorial or celebration of life in the future.
