To the family of Barbara Goodheart:
I only met Barbara once, and I worked as her caregiver from Home Instead for only four hours, but I was tremendously impressed with her. I wish I could have known her better; I felt she would be a good role model. Please know that she was special.

My mother, Rose Snider, of the Soo, was a very dear friend of Barb Goodheart. Mom died 5 years ago on Labor Day. I remember Barb’s hearty laugh and big smile….she and mom had many, many good times together golfing, bridge’ing, etc. I’m sure they had a great reunion up in God’s heavenly home. My sympathy to Barb’s family…. May God comfort you at this difficult time.

My name is Dan Walsh and I have very fond memories of living next door to Mrs. Pett and her daughter Barb in the early 1950’s. I was friends with her son Mike (also my brothers name hence one was Big Mike and Barb’s son was Little Mike). Although we moved away when I was 9 years old, I can vividly recall Barb’s infectious laugh and wonderful personality – she was a beautiful person both inside and out. Even after 60 years, I immediately recognized her name in the Grand Rapids Press and wanted to offer my sincere condolences to Mike and the entire Goodheart family. It would take a very special person to be remembered by a young boy of 6-9 years old after all these years but Barb was certainly one of those extraordinary individuals. Rest assured that Barb will be in my thoughts and prayers along with her family. Farewell to a wonderful lady.

    Linda and Mike,

You have been in our thoughts and prayers.
What more can you ask for than to lead a long and full life; except to be so greatly taken care of as you age! I hope that some day your kids (and mine) take as good care of us as you have of your mother in-law/mother. Maybe then we will know that we’ve done something right!
I’ve never tried scotch but had 3 beers (that’s a lot for me!) See you soon….
    Regina and Alan
