Susan, I feel so badly about not knowing about Farrell’s death until now. I just learned about it last night from Liza.I tried to e-mail you directly–not sure I had correct e-mail address though. Please just know that my heart truly goes out to you and your children. I know it’s been weeks now, but I imagine just how hard this time must have been for you, and I hope so badly that things are getting better with each passing day.

You’ve meant a great deal to our family, Susan, especially Mom. And Farrell was a good man (good to Mom as well). We (and she) would want you to know just how heartfelt our sympathy is. Please call me if I can be of any help to you.

Susan: My former husband, Bernard Rice, worked with Farrell when they were both teenagers at a cafeteria that was located in the Blue Ridge Mall. They had great times together. Stayed friends for many years. We all left Missouri about the same time and lost touch. For some reason today Farrell just popped into my mind so I did a search and found his obituary. Don’t know if you will ever see this but wanted you to know that I have fond memories of him and a wonderful photo of his holding my son when he was just a baby. My son is 50 now. Am glad that Farrell died in Hospice care and hope it helped make his last days better. I live in Sarasota, Fl now and am a Hospice nurse. Call me if you ever get this way and I will tell you stories of his younger days. Mary Rice 941-377-6707
