JoEllen Vierra, 55, of Edwardsville, Kansas, passed away August 26, 2012 at Providence Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska, daughter of L. H. and Merriam Ellen Russell.
She is survived by two children, five grandchildren, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a private memorial and burial for family and friends.
JoEllen, or Jo to most, was a tender soul, loving mother, a giver and a caretaker of lost children. She would give her last to see you smile. Jo packed a lifetime of love into 55 years. Anyone she loved is better for it. Things did not always go her way, but you can be sure she meant well.

Donna Faye Lynn, 70, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away July 29, 2012 in Leavenworth, under the care of St. Luke’s Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 pm, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the 4-H Club, 613 Holiday Drive, Lansing, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to St. Luke’s Hospice or Way Side Waifs.
Donna was born November 2, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri, the second child of four born to Hiram and Edna Ross. She married Jerry Lynn in December, 1962 in Kansas City. To that marriage three children were born; Ronald, Robert and Rhonda. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Robert and two brothers, Edward and Michael Ross. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Michelle) Lynn of Sterling, Colorado and daughter, Rhonda Smarro of Leavenworth; four grandchildren, Michael, Dustin, Renae and Rachel and four great-grandchildren, Kristian, Arianna, Lilianna and Gage and a great-grandson anticipated in October, 2012. She is also survived by her sister, Gayle Croom of Edwardsville, Kansas.
