Sharon “Sharry” Kay Boyle

Sharon “Sharry” Kay Boyle, 75, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home in Overland Park, KS with her husband and daughter by her side after a short battle with cancer.  She was born September 11, 1941 in Montrose, CO, the daughter of Leland “Sandy” and Maxine (Williams) Stuart.

She graduated from Downs High School and attended Brown Mackie College and Barton County Community College. She worked in the insurance industry in Great Bend, Kansas while raising her family with Gary Applebee, who preceded her in death.

Sharry is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ron Miles, Tyree, and Steve Stuart; sister Sandra Hennigan; nephew Darrell Snyder; grandsons Johnathan Mallinger and Beckett Applebee.  She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jerry Boyle; daughter Andi (Dan) Mallinger and son Robert (Renee) Applebee; step sons Jerry Lee, Jason (Melissa), and James Boyle; step daughter Mary Ann Scott; sisters Jane (Randy) Beaver, Marla (Eldon) Turnbow, and brother James (Jane) Stuart and 12 grandchildren.

Sharry was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends. 

Services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. located at Center Pointe Community Church, 401 N. 78th St.  Kansas City, KS  66112.  The burial service will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 2301 S. 34th St. Kansas City, KS 66106. A celebration of Sharry’s life and luncheon will follow burial back at Center Pointe Community Church.  There will be no visitation.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be given to one of the following:
