Jo Etta Coleman obituaries

Jo Etta Coleman, 72, of Kansas City, Missouri, was called home to be with the Lord February 12, 2013 at her residence under the care of her family and NorthCare Hospice.

Jo was a child of God and was born August 4, 1940 in Avon, Illinois, daughter of Clement and Marjorie Bivens McElhiney. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Terry and an infant sister. Jo is survived by her husband, Dorris, daughters Colleen (Hill) Moore, Lenexa, Kansas and Diane (Will) Davis, Jacksonville, Florida, sons Michael (Patricia) of Galesburg, Illinois and Robert (Penny) of Denver, Colorado, brothers Mike, Pensacola, Florida, Pat (Bonnie), Hopewell Estates, Illinois, Tim (Trish), Washington, Illinois, and Dennis, Kerry (Michelle), Kelly and Darryn, all of Avon, Illinois. She is also survived by two sisters, Shannon (Dan), Avon, IL and Kate (Sean) of Portland, Oregon and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Lenexa Conference Center, 11184 Lackman Road, Lenexa, KS 66215 with food and fellowship until 12:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family.

The family extends their gratitude to the NorthCare Hospice and ALS Foundation and greatly appreciate the prayers and support of family and friends.
